Malang, Indonesia – The Chinese Literature Study Program’s Student Association of the Faculty of Cultural Studies, Brawijaya University (Longwenxi) has organized “Design Training 2024”. The program, which took place on November 10 and 17, 2024, aims to develop students’ interests and talents in the field of design as well as expand the network between participants.
This activity is a platform for Chinese Literature Study Program students to channel their creativity through graphic design. In two sessions, the training was held online in the first session and offline in Building B of the Faculty of Cultural Studies in the second session. With expert speakers from the design field, participants were given materials and hands-on practice to improve their competence.
Chief executive, Davida Diandra Sacalaros explains that the program is part of Longwenxi’s efforts to facilitate students’ non-academic needs. “We want to ensure that every student has the space to develop their potential, especially in the field of design, which is increasingly relevant in today’s world of work,” she said. In addition, this activity provided great benefits for participants, such as increased self-confidence and better visual communication skills.
The results of this training show the great potential of Chinese Literature Study Program students in the creative field. For future programs, the committee hopes for the participation of more students as well as wider support from the campus.
With full support from various parties, including Longwenxi’s Media Communication and Visual Division, “Design Training 2024” is an important step in integrating students’ creativity with the needs of the professional world.
