Introduction to Chinese Culture Through Guangxi Normal University Winter Camp Program

The Guangxi Normal University (GXNU) winter camp program will be held online on January 8-January 14 2022 for two weeks. In the 2022 GXNU winter camp program, students are invited to get to know deeper of the culture, traditions and life of Chinese society through an online platform called Chinese Bridge provided by Guangxi Normal University (GXNU). This program undoubtedly assists students in broadening their insight on Chinese culture, as well as improving their Chinese language skills. A total of 33 students of the Study Programme of Chinese Literature, Brawijaya University from the 2019 to 2021 class took part in this program.

The students, using the provided videos, independently got to know the Chinese culture. The videos are 15 minutes long on average, and it can be watched at all times which was very flexible for independent learning. The educational videos were provided by the lecturers in GXNU with materials that were informative and easy to understand. This program not only showcased the beauty of Chinese culture,  but also the daily lives of Chinese people. The students that  have watched the educational videos will then be given assignments by the lecturers as a part of learning evaluation. After the completion of this program, the students will be rewarded a certificate of completion.
