Chinese Literaure study program student, Loebi Ahmad Birawa, obtained a scholarship from the Confucius Institute. Through the student exchange program, he will attend the 汉语研修 (Mandarin Language Training) study program for one year from September 2023 until July 2024 in Tianjin Foreign Studies University (TFSU). This program has been acknowledged as one of the MBKM programs by the university.
On Sunday, September 10th 2023, Loebi departed from Soekarno-Hatta airport, Jakarta, and arrived on Sunday, September 11th 2023 in Binhai airport, Tianjin. After arriving in China, Loebi attended a welcoming party that was held by PPIT in Tianjin. During the first week of college, Loebi had the chance to give a presentation about Bekasi city. In the presentation, he explained about the culture, culinary highlights, and the characteristics of the city.
In Tianjin, Loebi also participated in a few activities outside of the classes provided by Tianjin Foreign Studies University (TFSU), which includes a viewing of 红楼梦 musical drama, 沙画 sand painting, and also visiting one of the tourist destination in Tianjin, Huangyaguan Great Wall (黄崖关长城). Other than that, Loebi also attended a Wushu training class in which he obtained the chance to be a referee during one of the match. At the end of the class, he obtained a certificate signifying the completion of the 6 days Wushu training class in TFSU.
