Description

This course is the continuation of the Intermediate Chinese Writing and Grammar I course, which provides knowledge, understanding, and mastery in Chinese script writing techniques according to the intermediate Chinese grammar structure. The materials provided include the use of themed vocabulary, such as: social society; population; community service; suggestions/opinions; traditions, as well as the use of classifiers, quantifiers, acrostic, conjunctions, degree complements, and compound sentences. The teaching methods comprise demonstration, contextual learning, and group project-based learning. Assessment in this course includes attendance, activity in class, project, assignments, quizzes, midterm and final examination. After completing this course, students are expected to be able to identify the techniques of writing intermediate Chinese characters and the structure of advanced Chinese grammar.
